Discussion: ?

I was of the understanding that the Bat Warmer was for the preservation of the bat rather than improve bat performance. What temperature is best for maximum bat performance?

Discussion: Soft Barrel Bat

Lately, I've been hearing talk of bats with "soft barrels". So how can I tell which bats are "soft barrel"? Is there any specs or way to ID these bats? Can anybody supply the makes and models of some of these bats so I can know which to purchase?

Discussion: 2 FLEX or NOT 2 FLEX

Ok

HOW ABOUT A LITTLE INFO FROM ALL YOU BAT GUYS, BAT TESTERS AND YOU TUBE STARS.

Which type of bat has the STIFFER HANDLE?
1) The ONE Piece bat?
or
2) The TWO Piece bat?

If the ONE Piece bat has the stiffer handle then explain the rising popularity of the TWO Piece bats?

Thanks...

Lots of bat handle flex helps giving the bat more whipping action

Discussion: What About The Miken Freak Black Senior?

It seems odd that the Freak Black, a bat that comes with a warranty, sells for the same amount and in some cases less money than the Big Cat/Ultra II bats that don't have any warranty.

Not sure I understand....The SSUSA office reported they got the bat on 13 August....See the above post...Was that bat sent to SSUSA for testing and approval? I was under the assumption that the bat already has been tested and approved. Or was that bat sent for another reason?

What gives?

Will YOU PLEASE TEACH 1jonsey HOW TO SWING A BAT!

In the thread "WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A FULL SWING" he seems to be trying to make a shame of your videos. This is to be contrary to everything about playing the game of slow pitch softball. For fast pitch and baseball it is common practice. But who practices bump hitting in slow pitch? Sure, once in awhile bloop hits are great, but if becomes the norm then why try for anything more?

If just bumping a ball is the way to play this game then why try to be a better hitter?

Discussion: HELP---I just don't get it!

So how or why is that tacky material allowed on bats?
If the bat collects dirt and is not cleaned off, does that make it technically altered and possibly illegal?
Is it ALTERING by removing the tacky material?

Should anybody caught with changing the Knob or Handle, as mentioned above, be subject to the same consequenses as a person caught using a shaved bat?

I looked for a video on YouTube but didn't see anything about the settings for pitching a slow pitch softball.

This question is for those of you that have or use the Louisville Slugger Blue Flame Pitching Machine.

I just got one and I would like to know what are the 3 settings that you use for pitching slo-pitch softball?

I doubt those stupid looking things are legal.

They extend the over all length of the bat beyond 34 inches.

SSUSA Staff....Input please!

So why would I waste my time and money with the Triad Blackout (90 day warranty) when a good USSSA bat breaks in just as fast or faster and has a 1 year warranty?

Interesting....

Now that I think about it, I've noticed that in other sports where speed is important, like a golfer just before hitting a ball or a sprinter running a race don't use any sort of heavy weight just before their swing or race. Also MLB pitchers don't go into a game on the mound warming up with a heavy ball before the first game pitch.
