| Sept. 7, 2015 Olden Slow | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Question regarding Senior Recreation Leagues Here in Prescott Az we use 1.21 bats with Trump Stote balls. This year we lowered the age requirements to 45. We only have a few kids playing but expect more next season..We did have a few serious injuries this season and are talking about changing the ball...We do not use screens but masks are mandatory for pitchers.. |

| Aug. 10, 2014 Olden Slow | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: want to play senior softball MTC: I also live in Prescott and play on Monday and Thursday..I play in the A Division..My suggestion would be to go early tomorrow and talk to both divisions..They will figure out where you belong..Or go and sign up as an extra... | May 7, 2014 Olden Slow | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Pitching masks revisited Wayne and Ace,,,You are correct....we tried to bring up the subject, hell we even suggested using wood bats...Most of the guys had a fit, they acted like we asked for their first born..It's too bad that it will take a catastrophic injury for someone to take action. I could hit with a newspaper and it wouldn't be much different than my Miken,Reebok or Combat...Just my .02 |

| Jan. 16, 2014 Olden Slow | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Ca players etc etc I live in Prescott,Az and we have had our share last year..I have no grass to water and most of this area is landscaped with rocks, boulders etc...Water conservation is still an issue but I control mine carefully. Lets pray the fires in Cali ( I am a native) get put out with minimal destruction and no lives lost.. |
| Jan. 7, 2014 Olden Slow | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: where are all the pitchers Here in Prescott..Almost all the pitchers are moving down at least 1 division..Why ???? Word has it that they are tired of being drilled. The division they are going down to don't hit the ball as hard..Some of the guys suggested changing balls or bats but most of the guys threw a fit...But the guys that threw the fit...don't pitch or don't play in the infield. We now have 2 pitchers in a 40-50 man league...Should be an interesting season..I don't pitch but I'm also not a big hitter. We had a guy that got the ball drilled back at him while pitching..he made the plays but after a few innings he just tossed the ball to an infielder and went to the outfield while saying.." That's it, I'm not pitching again " |

| Nov. 20, 2013 Olden Slow | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Looking for Winter softball Team in Prescott Arizona over 50 Frank...I live in Prescott and play for Bucky's 60's...The only 50's team is done until Feb or March...Go on Prescott Senior Softballs web site..You should get more info there. We have our last game of the season ( except for pickup games as weather allows) on Monday at Pioneer Park at 9:00 am. Stop by and introduce yourself..1 or 2 of the 50's guys are always there.
