Probably a little harsh when saying shut up and play. I should have said if you don't want to ge involved to help find a solution then don't complain. Each team should have a say so in what they would to see changed and to voice their own opinion. Sorry guys

Discussion: Major Plus

I spoke to SSUSA on friday about Major Plus and was told they are looking and asking for suggestion. We the players and coaches need to put together some plan together that is supported by the majority of us and submit it to them. I agree with the posts above regarding Major Plus coaches contacting each other and discuss their options or wants or needs that they are looking for and then just compile it into
a plan and present it to SSUSA. SSUSA did say that in the past we have asked for to many changes, so please keep it plan and simple.

Here is a start, what I am hearing for Tim,

1) 2 day tournaments
2) Limit Major Plus champion teams to 6 returning players
3) Reduce entry fee (not happening)

I am not saying I agree with these 3 options just listing them out. Now please just add some suggestions, such HR limit, run limit and DBO or walks. You Major Plus team coaches exchange email addresses if you don't interact with the other coaches then shut and play because you chose not apply input to the solution. We need a solution and we need it now.

I also was allowed to swing the bat last weekend and the bat had a approval stamp. The bat was approved and had the sticker on it in Reno also, so the bat isn't a prototype. I also liked the bat and will purchase one when available. The one I used had over 900 swings and there were some BIG BOYS swing the bat with me.

Discussion: How can SSUSA possibly reclassify an established Major+ team

Neck10,

How did they get it right? SSUSA has a set rules and each team is to abide by them and this team was not force too. I would guess this team had some success in the past and that is why it force to move up and now they have been allowed to move down and are having success again. To me this is like having your cake and eating it too. If they abide by all rules that every other team does and it allows them to move down great but if not then I call BS. What about all the other teams that were forced to move up? They just want to keep 7 or 8 of there players and move down to. They repped the rewards on the past now pay your dues.

I was told the bat would be avalable for sale in Reno. Please remember this is what I was told by one of the reps on his 50+ team a couple weeks ago. I will be seeing him this weekend and will ask him again.

Thank you SSUSA for clarifying your process, I guess the results will determine if it was correct. I would think it wouldn't be if these teams win in LV or even place in the top 5. JMO

So they also improved their team. Please help all of us to understand.

Discussion: Reclassifying Teams

Okay let me get this straight, please help me to undestand this. Rochester wins the 2011 50 major world, they go undefeated in 6 games, they score 167 runs which averages out to 27.83 runs per game. Then they get bumped to major plus for 2012 and they sit out and do not even play one event and now 2013 they are dropped back down to major. If these are the facts which are present on this website by SSUSA, this is B.S. Why wouldn't every team that got bumped do the same.

Discussion: Grading the Rule Changes

A statistical review by staff of ALL game cards from the 2012 World Masters Championships revealed a significantly higher proportion of AAA teams hitting 'excess home runs' at a greater rate than in any other division. Double-digit HR totals for numerous AAA teams, especially in the 50+ and 55+ age groups, were very common.

Let's look at this AAA HR's limit is 3 and teams were averaging double digits in HR's so that would be 10 that is three times the limit, how plus teams do you think averaged 27 HR's or how many major teams averaged 21 HR's?

Really, LP you want to blame it on the ball.

Now why in world would anybody pay that much for a bat that they could only use in NSA and for only until the 2015 season. I guess you could use it in seniors but why do that when you can just buy a senior bat for less than $200.00.
