Mickey Deutschman

Mickey Deutschman, 78, of Santee, Calif., died on Sept. 23.

Deutschman last played SSUSA in 2013 with Last Call CA 70.

He was also a member of Top Gun 65 Silver.

Deutschman was a baseball coach at the junior college and high school levels, and also served as a scout. Additionally, he ran the semipro San Diego Barona Stars.

For his efforts, Deutschman was inducted into the National Semipro Hall of Fame and the National Baseball Congress Hall of Fame.

A U.S. Navy Veteran, Deutschman was a business owner, operating a heating and air conditioning company, Temperature Control.

Deutschman’s passing was featured in The San Diego Union-Tribune and East County Sports.
