Golden Seniors Softball Club Cancels 2020 Season

The Golden Seniors Softball Club’s Board of Directors unanimously voted to cancel the 2020 softball season, as was announced on June 16.

"We know Club members have been anxiously waiting for a report from the Club indicating how the Club will respond to this ongoing health crisis," said Bill Hill, Golden Seniors Softball Club President. "It was thought the Club could begin a delayed, partial season but the logistics and timing of this option faded away as health experts weighted in on the ongoing risks of group activities. Consequently, the Club has decided the season needs to be canceled to ensure the health and safety of its members."

The Golden Seniors Softball Club is located in Sacramento and boasts roughly 500 members (450 active) across nine leagues between the ages of 50 – 75 and over.
