2018 DFW Championships Recap

DALLAS, Tex. – The 2018 Dallas-Ft. Worth Classic was held here at Kiest Park August 16-19.

Men’s 70-75
Grey Sox (TX), Men’s 70 AAA, and Hill Contracting (TX), Men’s 75 Major, played a best two-out-of-three game series.

Grey Sox struck first with a 19-12 win, while Hill Contracting evened the series with a 15-7 game two win. In the rubber match, Grey Sox took the series with a 14-12 victory.

Men’s 75-80
The three-team Men’s 75-80 Division saw LOTA Softball (AR), Men’s 80 Major, enter bracket play as the top seed, with Texas Legends, Men’s 75 AAA, and San Antonio Desperados (TX), Men’s 75 AAA, following as the No. 2 and 3 seeds, respectively.

Texas Legends ultimately won the division with wins over both San Antonio Desperados (7-6) and LOTA Softball (14-7).

Men’s 50 Platinum
In the four-team Men’s 50 Platinum Division, top seed Escobar Body Shop (TX) ran the table in bracket play, including a 27-23 win over Oklahoma Rhino in the championship game. Texas Bulls finished in third place, followed by Texas Mavericks.

Men’s 50 Silver
In the seven-team Men’s 50 Silver Division, No. 1 seed ETX 50s went undefeated in bracket play, including a thrilling 9-8 win over LUMBERJAX (TX) in the championship game. American Mortgage Pro’s (OK) finished in third place after winning three straight games in the elimination side of the bracket. Texas Elite finished in fourth place.

Rock n Legends (TX), Men’s 55 Major, defeated Smith Mason Dudley (LA), Men’s 60 Major, 24-23, in the championship game. Texas Legends. Men’s 60 AA, was the third team in the division.

Men’s 55 and 65 AAA
Crossfire (TX), Men’s 55 AAA, defeated Texas Heat, Men’s 55 AAA, 22-14, in the championship game. Houston Classic Seniors (TX), Men’s 65 AAA, finished in third place.
