Step One Towards Triple Grand Slam Completed

Aug. 1, 2018

Triple Grand Slam Trophy

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – With the Eastern and Western National Championships complete, 48 teams have moved on to stage two of the Triple Grand Slam.

20 teams from the Eastern Nationals Championships assured their spots in the U.S. National Game, while 28 teams from them Western National Championships secured their positions in the U.S. National Game.

The U.S. National Championship game will be played during seeding play at the 2018 LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships.

Teams who win the U.S. National Game, and also go on to win their respective division in the World Masters, will earn the elusive Triple Grand Slam.

Teams who do not have an opponent in the U.S. National Game, but win their divisions in the Eastern/Western National and World Masters Championships, can still earn the Triple Grand Slam distinction.

A full preview of the U.S. National Games will appear in the Fall Edition of the SSUSA Newspaper.
