Clayton Edward Gunn
Clayton Gunn, 78, of Oroville, CA died on April 7.
A longtime member of Senior Softball-USA, Gunn was involved in local leagues and teams in Chico and Oroville, while also sponsoring many teams. Gunn was active in the Northern California Senior Softball Association (NCSSA) as well.
Donald R. Wheeler
Donald Wheeler, 74, of Chico, CA died on April 18.
Wheeler was active on tournament teams and was a long-time player in Chico.
Joseph Lanard James
Joseph “Rodie” James, 44, of Columbia, SC, died on May 12.
James worked as an umpire for Independent Sports Association (ISA).
“ISA lost one of its best umpires,” said Mike Caldwell, ISA CEO. “He always had a positive attitude, and loved the game of softball, as an umpire and a player.”
