Discussion: 2012 WESTERN NATIONAL TOC in Aurora....

With the current wildfire in the hills of Colorado South of Denver. Going there to play in the TOC, will there be any problems and/or concerns with the TOC, can it still be played...? For those who live up that way.. can you guys provide any info or updates.. in the coming days/weeks... Or will SSUSA provide updates ? thanks in advance... :)
The Western's in Aurora aren't for another five weeks (starting July 31st), and we do not anticipate any difficulties based on the current wildfire conditions. We wish everyone safety and property protection, but will certainly provide updates here for any (unlikely) change as it relates to the tournament.
I will be going through Aurora this weekend. There is a major fire both to the north and south of Denver. If I notice smoke conditions that might cause a tournament to be cancelled, I'll post it here. But as SSUSA says, it is very unlikely. Colorado is a big state.
Fires are 6o miles to the south and north of Denver. The Aurora fields are in the far far east side of town. A little hazey today and slight smell of smoke. Hey lets play softball!
I look forward to seeing everyone out here in Aug.
It's still about 5 weeks out-monsoon flow appears to be increasing for next week in NM and CO. I would be very surprised if we are still having threatening conditions in Aug. That would mean an awful dry monsoon season.
