This year was the 4th, I believe, time I have participated in the Rocky Mountain tournament, and it is always a good time. Comradery, good umpiring, and well run in general. The only issue I have are the infield conditions. The fields seem to be covered with a fine silt that if watered works really well. The problem is that underneath the silt is hard ground that, apparently, has not been "turned over" or smoothed out. I swept off several spots where, underneath, there were rock hard "footprints" that often caused seriously bad and dangerous bounces. I personally witnessed this in every game I watched. My suggestion to remedy this problem would be to "turn over" the fields on a regular basis and to water them down. I realize this may not be feasible due to water constraints, but I thought I would point this out. Other than that, it's always a genuinely fun tournament.

I know what you are talking about,I broke my Nose Quad C Diamond 1. Ball was going off to my side by 3 feet and when I reached to backhand the ball changed directions back at me at least 45 degrees to the side. They need to till up the infields .
