Discussion: Courtesy runners

Batter runner ends up at 2nd base. A batter 8 down goes in to be a courtesy runner. He ends up scoring and takes his turn at bat. He gets a hit. Can he have a courtesy runner come in for him?
Randall.. yes he can have a CR
Randall ... B.J. is correct ... Here's some additional relevant information ... A base runner may have a CR any time he gets on base, even if that's multiple times in an "open inning", subject to the following two conditions ... [1] A CR may only run one time per inning [2] A runner replaced by a CR may not subsequently be a CR in that inning ... The practical effect of the limitations is that ½ of the players on the lineup card may run for the other ½ of the players on the card each inning ... Please see the courtesy runner rules at §8.5 on page 51 of the 2026-27 Rulebook ...
One time I ran for someone and ended up scoring. I batted 3 batters later and got a base hit. The other teams coach claimed I couldn’t run because I already ran that inning. And he was adamant about it!
Unreal
