About 9 months ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. A little background I went from no symptoms to a 10 hour Whipple surgery within 10 days. Before the surgery I was playing again at a major level looking forward to traveling again in 70 age group. I have a great care team being treated at MD Anderson in Houston. I did one round of chemo which rehospitalized me. I’ve refused additional chemo.

My reason for posting I did a search of this message board and there did not seem to be much in the way of playing at a high level.

My current playing ability is basically an OK league player. My weight has stabilized at 170 which is 35 from my precancer level. Exit velocity is high 60’s low 70’s from high 80’s to low 90’s as measured by the pocket radar.

I was hoping to connect with someone who might have recovered some of their precancer abilities to compare notes. If not I’ll continue this journey and see what’s possible.

Softball has been a great gift in keeping me active, social and focused.
