what is the age you can play 80's is it 78 or 79, and do have to play before you can go to Ft.Myers with a team, you haven't played with yet this year in SSUSA, Thanks
thanks for all the anwers
rabbit ... I'll answer this one in regular ink, since the previous replies seem to have all been in "invisible ink" ... The 80+ team roster may include up to seven (7) otherwise eligible players aged 78 or 79, but not more than three (3) of them may be 78 ... Good luck! ...
Thank you Dave for answering, but i need too know if i didnt play in USusa that season am i eligible too play in Ft Myers or Tampa , thanks again
No worries there, rabbit ... You are able to play if you have a current registration for your player card (if you've played since you turned 75, you will have a "Lifetime" card already) and if you can "fit" into an 80+ team's roster as one of the seven allowed underage players, as I mentioned above ... The 80+ teams may roster players from anywhere, so "states and bordering states" is not an issue, either ... Good luck and have some fun! ...
Dave,
I will be 78 next year, does that mean I can play 80's.
I get confused easily.

Next November at 78, you will be considered a 79 for the rest of 26 and until November of 26, where you now become an 80 year old player. Sooo, at 77 currently, you could fill a 78 slot. An 80 team can have three 78’s and four 79’s.
Olden ... Dan is correct, with one minor little clarification ... An 80's team may have up to seven underage players either 78+ or 79+, but there is no limit on how many of the seven may be 79+ ... The 78's are capped at three as he stated ...
Diesel and Dan.
Thank you both for the clarification. Just made my day.

We found out in a very brutal way in FT Myers a fact. When U have an 80s team that is all 80 and up and U play teams loaded with 78-79s, it does not go well.
Actually after the Ft.Myers slaughter the Chicago Gray Sox 80s are hanging it up after 23 years in SSUSA. It has been a blast.
