Discussion: Compression testing
What is the compression # for passing/failing. If you can't make coaches meeting is there another opportunity to be tested at fields?
Bats must test at 140 or higher. Anything below 140 fails and can't be used in SSUSA tournaments. In Vegas if a bat failed the test an SSUSA rep grinded the SSUSA acronym off the bat to show it wasn't legal. (Except for the bat of one person whose bat failed but he grabbed his bat and ran out of the room. It was rather comical.)
Thanks Too Old....if you can't make the Coach's meeting is there another opportunity...will there be testing at fields?
If you can make it to BLD, Dave V with Short Porch was testing bats at their tent during 55’s week. Hope that helps.
Ask at the directors table if they will "no harm" test a bat before it's used in a game. Most fields have a tester on site and we had several bats tested pre-game at Las Vegas. Better to know before it becomes an issue.
No harm, no foul pre-tournament bat checks will be held during the Session #4 Manager Registration Reception this (Wednesday) evening from 6:00-7:30pm at Boulder Station in the Railhead room and is open to players and managers.
