If Iam reading this right the top 4 seeds could play only 1 game Tuesday and only 1 game Wednesday. Is this correct ?
YES, it is ... Earning a "Top 4 Seed" and then WINNING "Championship Bracket" games is rewarded ... As it should be ...
Does any player want to go to Vegas and play one game for two straight days ? That’s terrible It’s clear it should b 3 day tourney. I’d rather b in losers bracket then play one game a day. We come to Vegas to play at least 2 games a day.
Just my opinion, I love just playing one game. Keeps team fresh and more time to do other stuff.
I respect ur opinion. But if iam going to Vegas for a 4 day softball tournament I would like more then 4 games in 3 days. I don’t remember ever going to a tournament with 1 game a day except in elimination on last day. Obviously this bracket should have been 3 days.
nails ... It could easily have been only three days ... If you don't mind that the seven games moved earlier from Thursday would have been scheduled at 6:30 and 8:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday ... It's a fairly common occurrence that teams seldom look outside of their own division and fail to see the global picture ...
This year's Session #2 had 13 MORE teams (184 v. 171) playing 44 MORE games (598 v. 554) this year ... And for the record, the 2024 75-AAA division was also 12 teams, playing exactly the same bracket format of daily games you have objected to this year ... And you will have to play at least six games, even if you go undefeated, not four ... I'm just curious, but what changed in your thinking between identical circumstances in 2024 and 2025? ... Good luck!
U guys always do a fantastic job with what u have. Nothing to do with the quality of work u guys do Six games in four days is 1 1/2 games a day. I guess my finale statement is more teams = more fields = more money. Thanks.
That's very true ... Field rental rates they charge us took a significant jump this year, and local league restrictions got worse ... That's a bad combination is terms of scheduling flexibility! ...
Time to tell Vegas to pound sand. They ate not appreciative of all the money you guys bring in to the city.
No one, specifically SSUSA management and ALL those California teams, will want to play the World Championships anywhere but Las Vegas, but the quality of the fields in Vegas are so bad compared to the complexes in the Kansas City area. And yes, there are enough quality KC complexes / fields to accommodate all the divisions / teams. Not to mention, wouldn't it make more sense for all those East Coast teams to only have to travel to KC instead of Vegas. BUT AGAIN, who's going to want play in KC versus Vegas ????. Oh wait, Worlds is about playing ball, isn't it....not gambling!
Totally agree. Curious as to why a fantastic complex was never built in Vegas. And don’t tell me Big League Dreams. It doesn’t compare to the other great complexes in the country.
"EXACTLY"
Dbax.....
Move everything to just south of Huntington Beach(forest Lakes) & Paris and hemet.
GREAT PARK/LAKE FOREST (12) PLEX
Don't know how many of the fields can be used fenced for adult softball.
BLD/PARIS (6) PLEX
Been awhile since I been there
DIAMOND VALLEY PARK/HEMET (7) PLEX
Every time I been there fields are in great shape been there a lot
Berger is exactly right. Its a shame KC will never host the World Championships. We have 2 basically brand new complexes that have a combined 18 artificial turf diamonds and at least 3 more complexes in the area off the top of my head that have another 12 well maintained 300 ft fields. The only fields that can even compare to the KC fields in Vegas are Arroyo Grande and Shadow Rock. I would think the SSUSA board might take a look at this, but no doubt the chances are slim & none.
Beginning in November, all the outfields will be replaced by turf. Hopefully the infields with raised patches of turf will also be addressed.
