SSUSA,
Milwaukee Classic just now changed their schedule from all 55s playing together and all 60s playing together to now 55 & 60 AAA teams play together. Can a player who is on a 55 roster and a 60 roster who was planning on playing in both 55 & 60 tournament now that they are in the same tournament split his time between both teams?
No, you cant play on 2 different teams playing in the same division.
Not the same division technically John so I believe they can. Eventually there could be a conflict and person would have to pick one team. That is my understanding but as always, call the home office on west coast time for the answer that matters.
JohnO28 is correct ... You may not participate on two teams in the same competitive bracket in an event ...
mck71,
It is the same division since the 55s and 60s are playing each other so it's the same division
Thought because they were different AGE divisions it would be ok but see the difference now (though truly sux when you thought you could help another team out even with some play in games and now you can't because the schedule conflict made it so). Learned something new today, thx Dave and John.
Mck71,
I hear ya, I run a 50s team and play on a 55 team and last year it worked out where I could fill in on the 55 team at pretty much every tourney at least a few games at tourneys we were both at. However, this year almost every tourney we've played the 50s and 55s have played at different parks and it's too hard driving back and forth between complexes to try to help out. Last tourney was in Columbus IN and Shelbyville IN for ISA worlds and the parks were 42 minutes apart. I got to play one game with the 55s all weekend because of it.
John and Mike ... If team manager(s) let me know ahead of time, I can generally ease that schedule conflict exposure ... In Reno this year, I had two teams wanting to share a player in the separate 65-M+ and 70-M+ divisions ... I put them at the same park and scheduled them early/late (Tue & Thu) and late/early (Wed) ... There was ONE overlapping bracket time slot mid-day Wed ... The way things played out, one team ducked that game ... The player played 11 of 11 potential games and DID mention to me after the event that he wasn't sure, looking back on it "at his age", that it was a totally great idea ...
Good to know, thanks again Dave! :-)
Dave has accommodated me many times when I was playing in two different age groups in a tournament, and I really have appreciated it. Looking back on it now, at my age, I have always thought it was a great idea!
