I know this is a SSUSA site and they don't allow pitching screens in SSUSA but does ISA allow pitching screens? I know a few other associations do just not sure about ISA and can't find their rules online.

Pitching Screens may be used by any team in the 70s and over divisions. The teams must provide a screen if they desire to use it. The screen cannot be bigger than 4×7 and be placed no more than 3 feet in front of the pitching rubber and one side of the screen must be within the 2-foot pitching rubber. A batted ball that hits the screen shall be declared a foul ball. A thrown ball hitting the screen shall remain alive. The pitcher cannot make a play on the ball until touched by another player. Effect: If the pitcher touches a ball, it will be declared a dead ball and Batter awarded 1st base and all runners will advance only if forced. Exception to this rule is if an infield fly is called the pitcher can make a play on the ball.

In my opinion-If you can transport a screen to a tournament, you pitch, you are nuts if you don't use it. Sorry, us old guys just don't have the reaction time we use to.
Our 60+ and 65+ leagues all have mandatory screens now, which I find in the way for more than a few players, but safety should come first.

What do you mean theyre in the way for more than a few players?

JohnO28 they are sometimes in the way for throws to home plate from the outfield.

A lot of batters hit the ball directly over 2nd base on a line drive shot out of the infield which is not possible anymore due to the screens; and as Dbax says, they can be in the way for throws to the plate too, which maybe is why some players continue to throw the ball in the dirt to the catcher, making their job that much harder.
