Discussion: Wigpopper vs Mario Foster

Wigpopper Blackout vs Mario Foster Blue 2025 which is better ?
I have not swung the blackout, but damn, the Mario Foster is hot!
I just broke the Wigpopper Blackout in Albuquerque. The first version didn’t test well and now this one broke.
I was a Short Porch fan but I am now leaning toward the Easton Mario Foster. I have 2 red ones, a blue and now getting the silver bullet one on Wednesday. Done with Short Porch until they solve their durability issues.
Agree with NYGNYY, Foster is durable and a great bat. Swung two OG Greens all 2024 and still using the red and blue ones. Initial OG Wig Blackout tested at 125 after 50 swings at Winter Worlds without a blemish on it. SP great about refund but for my money go with the Easton.
The Short Porch OG Blackout Wigpopper has the hottest barrel I have ever swung. The exit velocity coming off that bat was incredible. Problem was it only lasted me about 200 swings. I am 68 years old and about 5 foot nine. I have decent bat speed but nothing incredible. Short Porch has been claiming their Kevlar bats are hotter and more durable, but I am skeptical.
This is a relative question as all senior bats are hot. Some mention above that they feel Short Porch has durability issues, but I’m guessing is they have a faster swing speed and need a medium or harder barrel bat than the Blackout OG Wigpopper. I have heard good and bad about the Fosters also. So a lot depends on what your overall goal is, but Short Porch will fit you into a bat that will fit your swing.
Just to be transparent, I have ordered the new DDT version of the wigpopper blackout. Even though I didn’t get as many swings out of the OG Blackout as I would have expected, I love that barrel so much I am willing to give the new version a chance. I think I will be a little more selective in how much I BP it.
I have the Wigpopper and find it excellent! I easily have over 500 swings with no loss of Pop. The best part of Short Porch bats - I also swing the TaxMan in our rec league - was the rep. Jay Yoakum is the most knowledgable person I have met in 25 years of playing softball. He understand the technology and was able to match my swing and power (I am 75, 5’10’’ and 160) to the best Short Porch bats. Highly recommend him.
