A friend of mine will always be a friend, even if he's caught with illegal equipment and suspended. The only thing that will change is we won't be able to play senior softball together or against each other again. Ill still play golf with him and go to the bar etc etc, together and play softball in city leagues. What he does with his life is 100% up to him and like I said ill still be friends with him through thick and thin.

Im sure 100% of all you men and women on here have a lot of skeletons in your closet, you all are not perfect angels and I don't pretend to be one either.

I have to agree with you "YANKEESFAN12" about a friend always being a friend tru thick or thin. People are entitled to few mistakes in there life time just as long as they don't hurt other people. Shaveing or rolling a ball is Illegal yes and the friend will have to pay the price but he doesn't need to loose friends for bad judgement.

What I don't understand from what Ive read and heard is people disowning a friend for this. WHY DO YOU GUYS PUT SOFTBALL AS PRIORITY #1, FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND WORK NEED TO BE AT THE TOP OF THE LIST.
You guys who put SOFTBALL at the top over FAMILY AND FRIEND AND WORK need your head examined, softball needs to be near the bottom or at the bottom of the priority list. Friends and family is all you will have when softball ends which is sooner then you think.

Swinging a shaved or altered bat isn't a "Mistake" as you call it, it's damn choice and I have no room in my life for people that are first off cheaters and second are willing to put other peoples safety and possibly lives on the line by cheating. It's downright pathetic.

They are putting their personal achievements over other players safety who are there playing with Friends and family and most still have to work. Maybe it's people like you who are defending these cheaters who needs your head examined. Life's too short as it is and using altered bats to hit the ball harder and further is a pretty pathetic way to live your life. You said softball should be pretty low on your list of important things in life and do you really want someone in your life who's willing to cheat at something so insignifant in the grand scheme of life, make me wonder what lengths they would go do to succeed at the important stuff in life.

I have a whole hand full of rings.
I drink about 2 times a year and those are when I'm in Vegas where I don't have a car to drive. So to answer you question 30+ years since I had a few beers and drove. I don't need alcohol to have fun.

I have played in SSUSA softball since 2001. I have never had a teammate use a rolled or shaved bat that I know of. If it were discovered that one was using one, I could not continue to play with that individual regardless of our history.

Good lord. We get to use the greatest bats ever made. I just don't understand the need to cheat.

Ive "NEVER" used a loaded bat or do I know of anybody on my team that has one. I have had my bats tested
multiple time at tournaments in the past 8-10 months.

As for my rings I WON them legally and won a bunch of them when senior softball handed out rings like chiclets
back 15/20 years ago and have 3 world rings, I'm just waiting to win one for my thumb and its for my other thumb and "ALL WITH LEGAL BATS" again "ALL WITH LEGAL BATS",
