Discussion: 69's playing 70's

SSUSA Staff, I have some questions. 1) IF, a player is 68 and he will not turn 69 until AFTER Worlds, Can he play on a 70 Team? 2) Next year are you going to continue allowing three 69's to play 70's? It seems to be depleting the 65 teams. I look forward to your answers.
DBLB32 ... [1] It depends on how long after the World's that player turns 69 ... Your "softball age" is determined by the age you achieve in the current CALENDAR YEAR, not by reference to when the World's occur ... For example, a player who turns 69 at any time during 2024 is (and has been) eligible to be one of the allowed 69-year-old roster members on a 70+ team for the entire 2024 Season ... [2] Any potential change to this eligibility rule would have to come from the SSUSA National Rules Committee sessions at this year's convention ... They will be meeting in early December in Tucson, AZ ...
