So someone please explain to me how you have a written rule in the rulebook and it isn't enforced in the ISA World Championships?! If you are going to pick and choose which rules you are going to enforce/not enforce then that should have been clarified before the tournament started. Otherwise, the tournament is just a joke. Why should we as teams and players comply with the rules if Directors aren't going to enforce the rulebook. What a joke!
It appears this post is probably related to the prior question by JohnO28 we answered earlier today ... Our suggestion is very simple: ASK ISA to clarify whether Rulebook §15.5 (page 77) of the joint SSUSA/ISA Rulebook governs this circumstance, or if it doesn't ... In either event, it's a question ONLY for ISA, not SSUSA ... It's not our tournament and we "..don't have a dog in this fight.." ... Good luck!
In this case I am refering to section 3.8
And while I am aware that SSUSA is not governing the ISA World Championships, one would think that since they are using the SSUSA rulebook with the exceptions of 3 rules (legal bats, batters box, etc), and that they work in conjunction with SSUSA, that they would abide by and enforce the rules being as this is supposedly a "World Championship". A rule is a rule, and if the Director is going to pick and choose which rules that they are going to enforce and which one's they aren't, then the Director loses all credibility along with said tournament. 5 years of paying for tournaments, uniforms, weekends off, travel expenses, etc. At this point, I am losing faith in the associations and questioning whether it's worth it to continue to throwing money away because, in this case, the Director is making it up as he goes along. Several other protests filed by other teams today and he didn't adhere to the rules. And people wonder why the senior program struggles. Smh
Brotherhood ... It's really over Rulebook §3.8 • UNIFORM?? ... Interesting ... We'll try one more time to help ... This isn't an SSUSA event, so there is nothing relevant we can (or should) provide or even comment specifically about ... Any concerns you may have must be addressed directly with ISA, not here ... We're closing this thread to encourage you to seek the proper venue for a remedy ... Good luck ...
