World Championship Medals
Did anyone notice the size difference in the Team MVP medals given to each team for their tournament MVP? The medals this year were like 1/3 of the size as previous years. Did all teams get these tiny medals or was it just our packet?
We would have been more than happy to pay a little more than the $870 entry fee to get a normal sized medal for team MVP.

Yes...The gold, silver and bronze were smaller as well. No concerns here.

With 650 teams x $870= $565,500........if they don't cut costs somewhere, how do you expect them to make a buck or two

Jhucks- 2nd & 3rd place teams medals at the field. Champions are getting custom rings made. You should have received that form on the field before you left.

Junior2412- Don't forget to include the cost of awards fees, director fees, umpire fees, travel fees, rental car fees, hotel fees, meeting room fees, field rentals fees, field prep service fees, storage container fees and insurance fees. I left out about 8 other line items in the budget (including toilet paper, that YES- we have to provide as well) but hopefully you get the picture.

If anyone can do it better, have at it. It's easy to criticize, but putting your money where your mouth is would be the real test.I am very happy with the venues they do provide and the competition. PS Tim -are you one of those TP hoarders that ran even costco out of TP? LOL

Thank you Tim for the explanation on the medals

Much rather have a ring than a metal !
I thought we might have missed something!
