Hi Dave:

Our company and some of our suppliers get a lot of products from China and I think it is time for you to shop for a new shipping company. A 3-5 month wait is common but how long have you had the SSUSA ball on order?

Thanks James ... I don't know how long they have been on order (because I don't personally know when we ordered), but I DO know they were scheduled/promised for availability last February! ... The shipping container(s) are supposedly "off the water" and staged in a port of entry area prior to being placed on rail cars ... Stop me if you've heard this BSN story before ....................................

Dave, the balls that were promised last Feb were the ones from BSN, not Baden correct?

DD & Staff - true the news that you (SSUSA) have signed a 3-year agreement for the Baden Fire Senior to be the official and only ball for your events?

YES ... Here's the Press Release that was published in today's email edition of the SSUSA Newsletter ...

SACRAMENTO – Senior Softball USA announced that it had signed a three-year agreement with Baden Sports to become the Official Ball of SSUSA. The Baden Senior Fire Ball will be used exclusively in all 90 SSUSA National Qualifying Tournaments and Championships, and will be offered at special pricing to SSUSA-sanctioned leagues in 200 cities, according to SSUSA officials.

“We used the Baden Fire ball in Las Vegas and we had many positive comments,” said Fran Dowell, SSUSA executive director.

The agreement is slotted to begin Jan. 1, but Baden balls will be used this November at the Winter Nationals, moved to Polk County, Florida, and the Winter Worlds in Phoenix, Arizona.

ENDNOTE: IF the long overdue order of the previous STOTE/Trump Microcell ball EVER actually clears customs, we are obligated to purchase them from BSN and consume that order over time ... There is no formal timetable on how long that may take and which, if any, events might use balls from the order ...
