Poor planning in vegas
Just a complaint… no water available and no concessions. Pretty sad. Need to get something for the players and fans. Thanks

lancat ... SSUSA has not provided water in dugouts for about 2½ years, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic ... If you are a registered player with a valid email address, you received TWO pre-tournament emails from SSUSA advising you of that circumstance and reminding you to protect yourself by providing for your personal hydration needs ...

As for concessions, we had one vendor who committed to staffing the parks that did not have full time concession operations ... They were "no-shows" ... It is certainly our responsibility in making, with the luxury of 20-20 hindsight, a bad choice in engaging them ... We apologize for that ...

Played 65 M at Arroyo Grande this past Wednesday and I needed some water. Asked my wife who was keeping our book and she didn’t have any it was still at the car. Our home plate umpire gave me his water. Just thought that was outstanding and It was very much appreciated.
Later I gave him a bottle from the car.
Thanks

There was water in the dugouts at BLD.

And that was the "problem" for players who played there and subsequently went to another park ... We didn't ask BLD to do that, but them doing so created a logical, but erroneous, inference that SSUSA had revived the pre-pandemic policy ... We have not ...

I did some research for you. There are 197 7-11 stores in the Vegas metropolitan area. All sell water, Gatorade, Energy drinks and any other type of hydration beverages. There are also 93 gas stations that have a store attached to them that sells the same drinks.

And you are complaining SSUSA didn't provide you with water?

PLUS - LVSSA used to supply the water in the dugouts at all the parks - BUT - since they made the erroneous-imo -decision to split from SSUSA, they are no longer affiliated with the WMC - also the reason why the fields are not kept up between games as they used to be. AND - a lot of people come on this message board and say how happy they are NOT to be at BLD so they can bring their own water and food into the park.

I will always take BLD over other parks, mist(ers) in the dugout, shade for fans, seats for fans, good food, good bathrooms, AC. Worth $8 a pop each and everyday. Happy wife happy life.

Except the fields are worn out. Not worth free entry. By the way Sunset was really nice this year.

There is Sunset and SUNSET. The higher numbered fields are 11, 12, 13 (14?) and are very playable. The lower numbered fields, across the park, are not SSUSA quality. No trees. No shade. Dugout seating for 9 players. No water (I brought my own). Drinking fountain was broken. Not being able to refill container at the drinking fountain, try the restrooms? Restrooms are closed because of "vandalism". From the look of them, they have been closed for months if not years. So...no water available and no concessions open. A taco-type truck did arrive. There were porta-potties available (about 150º inside thanks to direct Vegas sun).

Big League Dreams is really showing its age. Patches everywhere. Not all scoreboards working. Fun pictures of fans are mostly disintegrated. All this for $8.00. At least the air conditioning inside worked and drinking water was provided! The misters came on about noon in our dugout. For our team with players, coaches, wives, and fans, that was a supplement of $160 per day, raising our tournament "fee" to the equivalent of $1100!! Play all four days at BLD and you would be looking at $1400 to participate.
