If there are eight 50AAA teams signed up for Jim Sherman in Salem, that seems like enough for a standalone bracket. Are the 50AAA's also going to play 50M, 55M, and 55 Major Plus in their bracket? Because that's what the Men's 50/55-Gold division looks like. That doesn't seem right.
Hopefully I'm misunderstanding how it's going to be. Anybody know?
I agree, as a 50AAA team manager entered in this division it's discouraging to find we'll be going up against a 55 Major+ team and a couple 50 Major teams. We are an Oregon team and look forward to this tournament but are just a decent 50AAA team and can't compete with these other teams and will no longer attend under this format moving forward.
My guess is that the list is only for what age divisions are playing at those parks. Most likely the 55AAA will have their own 8?team bracket, the major and major plus 50,and 55 teams will be in there own bracket

Looks like there will be a 50/55 Gold division with all teams combined.
They will use an equalizer for this. If you play a 50 major you will get a 5 run spot. If you play a 50 major plus you will get a 5 run spot plus an extra fielder. It’s the only way to give the higher rated teams a tourney to play in.
Hey Fellas ... Don't ruin your Fourth of July Weekend with severe brain cramps! ... Your cursory analysis of the field assignment seeding pods doesn't give you nearly enough information for you to avoid incorrect assumptions and wild theories ... Allow me a few more hours to do what I do (draft and post the schedules) before you do what you do (comment about them!) ... This entire thread is hilarious ...
Have these guys even played a SSUSA tournament before? 😂😂😂
Yes we've played many, not sure what you think is so funny.
I suspect he may have been amused (I was) at the hilarious divisional layouts you fellas dreamed up based on a simple tentative field assignment post ... But I would be remiss not to tip my cap to baller2 ... He pretty much nailed it on the final divisional breakout plan and deserves consideration for a Rookie of the Year post award for his first offering here! ... As for the rest of you, maybe stick to playing ball as opposed to tournament design? ... Thanks for the bit of comic relief and good luck to all of you in Salem! ...
Dave
Did any of these guys questioning your tournament design stop to think that it's a holiday weekend yet you posted the schedules for Salem, and responded to a message board where most do not share their names? Other associations are slow to respond to emails and I don't believe they have message boards where questions are usually answered by you or another staff member in a timely manner.
Thanks for what you do and the timeliness of doing it when you should have probably been sitting on your porch admiring your American flag drinking Coors beer this entire weekend. Unfortunately no matter what some people will never be happy.
Be safe.

Dave, you ought to let them have a crack at setting up Worlds. Setting up just one would stifle a lot of criticism.
