Last minute Roster changes
Good Afternoon Staff,

This is more of a question than anything else. Last Friday around 2:30 pm Eastern time I emailed the office with a roster change request for a Monday start in the Connecticut Masters Game. A plyer tested positive for COVID. When I arrived Monday morning the TD had not received my changes. He took my request and edited our roster manually. That afternoon I received my reply from the staff that one of my changes was NOT eligible.

It never became an issue as we didn't need him. However, what would happen if we had won the tournament with an unknowingly ineligible player?

My question is as follows. Is it possible for a staff member to be available for roster updates on weekends when tournaments are taking place? As an alternative, give on-site TD's remote access to the eligibility database?

BTW the TD in the Connecticut Masters tournament did an excellent job dealing with some challenging weather conditions on Saturday.

Thanks for listening.

Ron ... Please give me a call at the office on Friday and we can discuss your questions ... I'm not going to be available today (Thursday) due to a family commitment in the Bay Area ... However, we DO staff the phones for last minute roster adds on events we administer, just not for independent/third party tourney director events, like the CT Games ... And those of us why travel with laptops can also handle inquiries/adds if we're on site ... Thanks!
