Coming to Tacoma WA area this weekend for 3 months
Hello all. I just retired last month from 45 years working with AZ youth Public school Counselor. Wife and I are heading to Tacoma as Son has built us a mother in law suite to live in next 3 months. I am just looking around for anyone taking batting practice near by Tacoma. I play on a 65 team and have played at Major and AAA level. I see they have several tournaments close by Tacoma so it would be great to get in some swings in if possible. I just learned our 65 team from AZ is not playing in Sept Worlds this year. Thanks for any info. I am so blessed to still be a part of playing. My EMail is Dingle9104@msn.com . I will send my Cell phone if needed. Thanks again Gary Ingle

Hi Gary ... Congratulation on your transition to retired-person! ... Not sure what your exact travel schedule is on the way from Phoenix to Tacoma, but the SSUSA's Jim Sherman Memorial Northwest Championships runs in Salem, OR, from July 12-17, 2022 ... It's about 190± miles between Salem and Tacoma and just almost all of the active teams in the Pacific Northwest will be playing in a tournament-record event and you can see and meet some of them ... Good luck! ... TEAMS: Gary's playing history includes a long run as a very effective pitcher, but maybe most of your teams already have extremely deep bullpens, right? ...

Hi Gary:

Every Tuesday and Friday morning around 9:00am a bunch of seniors take BP at the RAC in Lacy. It is about a 20 mile drive south of Tacoma. Great group of people and I believe you would be welcome. We pay $20 a month to hit at a very nice turf complex.

Thanks:

James

Hi GI. Welcome to Tacoma, WA! There is a mens senior league that plays Weds at 10am at Celebration Park in Federal Way (15 mins north). Show up at 9am (for BP) with your bat bag. Teams ALWAYS need players.

There is also a mens senior league that plays at the RAC in Lacey (30 mins south) on Wed nights starting at 6:15. Same thing - show up after 5pm for BP and ask to play.

Looking forward to meeting you!
