roster/player re-rating question
Scenario: Team does well at Vegas worlds last year and is re-rated from Major to Major Plus for this season. What is the criteria used to determine who the specific players are that are re-rated? Essentially, is everyone that checked into the tournament moved up to M+, even if they never saw the field? Is everyone that is on the roster, even if they did not check into the tournament in Vegas?

BigPappi ... The "rebuttable presumption" is that the entire World's roster for your team will now all carry the "Major+ Experience Rating" for a period of two Seasons (or one season if the team is 70+ or more senior) ... Teams win or lose as a team, which is why we rate teams rather than players ...

Because you're an anonymous poster here from a mystery team, you'll have to call the Sacramento Office during normal business hours in the Pacific time zone at (916) 326.5303 to make a case for consideration of some possible long-shot exemption for yourself to escape the bump ... Our audit will review the team's tournament roster (to see who actually checked in at Las Vegas), ALL of the team's game cards (to verify whether or not you played) and the team's performance leading up to the success in the World's in reaching a determination ... Good luck ...

So your saying that if a player went to Vegas with his team, checked in for the team roster but didn't play on the field except to contribute a bit by running the bases, and then collected his World Championship ring that he doesn't have to get moved up? Awesome!

That's not anywhere close to what I advised you above. Please re-read my reply carefully with a goal of reading comprehension deployed this time. IF you're name is [1] on the World's roster, [2] you checked in for the event and [3] we see your name on any game card(s), that's the Trifecta and WELCOME TO MAJOR+. You may certainly appeal that determination and take your chances, but unless/until you submit an appeal for our consideration your 2022 Season starting rating level is Major+ and will remain so if your potential appeal is either not submitted or not granted.

BigPappi - as per your own admission you "didn't play on the field except to contribute a bit by running the bases" which in SSUSA speak means that you are on at least 1 game card because you can't be a PR in an SSUSA event (legally) if you are not on a game card. Also, I believe the bases are actually inside the playing field so you were on it if you were running for someone, am I missing something?

Based on that and what Dave explained, you are a M+ player and have the right to appeal YOUR status, good luck! :-)
