#1 Seeds In Vegas
Do you have to participate in either the Western or Eastern National Championship tournaments to be considered for a #1 seed in Vegas? If not, what’s the selection based on? Thanks in advance.

No, you don't have to play in the Eastern's or Western's to earn a #1 Seed in divisions unless BOTH an Eastern AND Western National champion playing in Las Vegas ... If both are there, then the first procedure below will determine the #1 Seed

• For teams that have a berth in an actual USA National single game, the winner of that game earns the #1 Seed and the loser receives the #2 Seed;
• If an Eastern or Western designate for the USA game does NOT have an opponent from the other side, that team is initially assigned the #2 Seed, and is eligible, but not guaranteed, to earn the top seed conventionally ...
• For divisions that have three teams in the mix due to an Eastern or Western champion being raised in team rating after the National's, there is an interesting and different procedure for determining top seeds that we will be announcing shortly ...
