The question everyone wants answered. What was the reason for not bumping up the Eastern and Western winners before the Nationals? Why wait?
The answer is the same as it is for higher prices for gasoline,lumber,new cars,used cars,rental cars,new homes,old homes,food,clothing,lawn mowers and tractors,the pandemic!The pandemic is the universal answer for everything.At least this is what my friend said.

We're not immune from people getting ill ... We had people out for extended Medical leaves ... One of them tried, probably too early, to come back, and ultimately surrendered and unexpectedly (to us) retired ... He is the 15± year pro who carried the mechanical ratings effort virtually by himself for over a decade ... We simply, despite our best efforts, couldn't stay out front of the ratings review calendar this summer ...
We nailed the individual team ratings, and that's always the goal, but we "fanned it" on the timing ...
