Discussion: playing on two different teams in same age group but different division

Can a player play on a 70 AAA and a 70 Major teams in the same year and same tournament if not in the same bracket?
In SSUSA sanctioned play, a player may NOT be simultaneously on two separate rosters in the same age group, regardless of the rating(s) ... Accordingly, he may absolutely NOT be on two rosters with different ratings in the same tournament ...
I do know a guy that played 50 major and 55 major plus in the same tournament. A bunch of the 55 guys were also on the 50’s team.
Uh……..those aren’t the same age groups.
Uh…..never said they were, just that they were playing for two teams in the same tournament.
Uh……why?
Likely because the 50’s team was a first year team and the 55 guys were friends from a team that moved up from 50 major. If the games didn’t occur the same time those guys could play both .
Happens all the time.
