Seeing this post made me think of Steve Simmons. I didn't know him well at all. In fact I only met him a couple of times. He and I were on the same 2 man team in SSUSA's home run Derby back when they had 2 persons teamS for the derby.
We ended up winning and he was surprised that he was included since he didn't hit any. I had hit enough to cover both of us.
He seemed like a great guy. Too bad he is no longer with us.
It's my mistake, it was SPA's home run Derby at their nationals
