So Cal Championships
Just curious, is there a list of teams signed up for this event?

Bill ... There are about 100 teams entered, which includes a multitude of teams classified as on the "waiting list" ... We are currently undertaking the quest for additional playing site(s) before we know if we can handle all of the teams, at which time we will trigger the release of the list ... Your team is one of the 11 entered in your specific age group/rating ...

D².. Sounds like a great turn-out. So, additional site(s) is a possibility? Any hints as to what those others might be?

H² and Bill ... Fran is contacting every facility in her SoCal Rolodex, using what appears to be the B&B Approach ... That would be [B]egging and [B]ribery ... JUST KIDDING! (sort of) ...

Since I was told my team is on waiting list and wouldn't find out til 6/11 at the latest and that's 3 days after the deadline of 6/8 will I get my $$$ back if not picked to participate. Just asking because of this
***** Refund policy: Entry Fees are non-refundable after the deadline. Full refunds are given to teams withdrawing BEFORE the deadline. NO refunds are given after the deadline. ****

Contrary to the prevailing opinion at times, it's NOT about the money for us ... If your team doesn't clear the "wait list", you will have the choice of a refund or application of the funds to a future event ... That choice is solely yours ...

Hey Dave I see under the Cans/SIRS tournament message it states due to CA. Covid restrictions only 1 game per day at fields. This is not what will be happening for Hemet is it ???

Please don't over-think this ... I've scheduled it and you show up and play, just like you're accustomed to doing ... We're playing the "protocol" game with certain cities in how we define a "game" ... In the case of Foskett Park and the City of Lincoln, a game is defined as 14-innings of play, where opponents may (or may not) change for the top of the 8th inning ... Everyone playing at Foskett is getting at least a five-"game" guarantee (except for a team that decided it couldn't play yesterday) ... By contrast, no such disguised schedule is needed in Elk Grove ... They are allowing us to actually disclose that we are running that portion of the event normally ...

I'm surprised you haven't looked at the SoCal Session #1 schedules, so you could have very likely answered your own question ... Nothing unusual about SoCal at all for Hemet and Diamond Valley ... There is "one more venue" (for the 60+ Men) that we haven't publicly disclosed yet because they seem to want to wait until June 15th when California will purportedly re-open officially ... I've scheduled Session #2 conventionally ... If you're still playing with Rock Solid Concrete, you play at 8:00 and 9:30 AM on Field #8 at Diamond Valley on Friday ... Your three-game-guarantee bracket will begin at 12:30 PM on Saturday and conclude with a potential "If" game at 3:30 PM on Sunday ... EXACTLY like just about every event we've been able to run for years ... Good luck!
