Is SSUSA going to allow a certain number of 69 year olds play on a 70s team like the other 2 major senior associations allow?
That's a great unknown until the National Rules Committee convenes electronically later this year in virtual session(s) ... There will not be a "live/in-person" Rules Committee structure this year ... If it ends up on the Agenda, we'll vote on it ... The few times it has appeared, the proposal has been defeated ... Maybe this year??? ... Stay tuned! ...
I really feel that with all the COVID19 Issues ALL Associations should allow 49s in 50, 59s in 60 and 69s in 70. We played in six tournaments in 2020 and struggled to get enough every game! In Myrtle Beach we had players Quarantined at home because of Social Contact! They ended up testing negative but to late to go! We had to pickup a dude just hanging out at the park to have ten players. With the entry fee and rooms paid in advance it is ridiculous to be put in that situation. We started the season in July with 16. No way to control injuries and COVID issues! I know the SSUSA Staff understands this because of the issues you had trying to schedule Vegas games in other venues. We could not commit to the Worlds out west because of COVID and fear of losing entry fee money, hotel money and plane flight money! Thanks for reading my rant. I know everyone is frustrated!
