Sept. 16, 2020 DaveDowell Men's 70 4247 posts | Box00 ... There's a (slim) chance for later tonight, but more realistically tomorrow ... Be ready for a very full weekend ... Both Friday and Saturday begin play on all 11 fields at 7:30 AM and last games of the day are at 10:30 PM, ending at midnight if you all can stay on time! ... However, there IS one OPEN game slot at 10:30 PM on Field #4 at Southside Park on Saturday night ... |
Sept. 16, 2020 Box00 6 posts | thank you does that mean the seating games will be played friday and the tournament games will start friday also? |
Sept. 16, 2020 DaveDowell Men's 70 4247 posts | YES ... Everyone will play two seeding games on Friday and the 40-Major and 40-AAA Men and the 40-AAA Women will also start bracket play Friday evening/night ... Thirty-two (of the 36) 40-Major teams will play, with the top four (4) seeds getting a bye, and all 40-AAA teams (both men and women) will play Friday evening ... Men's 40-Major+ and Women's 40-Major will begin bracket play Saturday morning ... Good luck everyone! |

I'll finish those in the next couple/few days ... Friday, both pool and bracket play, and Sunday bracket finals are posted ... Thanks for your patience and good luck! ... |

Sept. 19, 2020 HAT MAN Men's 50 228 posts | Quick question, how do you know who is American and who is national for 40s major? I'm sure I'm missing something |
Sept. 19, 2020 DaveDowell Men's 70 4247 posts | HAT MAN ... Fair question; you're not missing a thing, just that I haven't spelled it out yet ... The 36 teams will seed in a single seeding pool ... Based on those game/seeding results, they will be seeded #1 through #36 and assigned to the respective "pods" via a "serpentine draft" approach ... It will be: #1 = N1 #2 = A1 #3 = A2 #4 = N2 #5 = N3 #6 = A3 #7 = A4 . . back and forth down through ... . #33 = N17 #34 = A17 #35 = A18 #36 = N18 |
Sept. 19, 2020 HAT MAN Men's 50 228 posts | Nice, i like that. Good to know see you next week |
Sept. 21, 2020 DaveDowell Men's 70 4247 posts | HAT MAN ... With 23 of the 36 teams coming from just two states (CA and AZ), I couldn't determine a fair way to pre-assign the teams to a specific bracket "pod" ... The only other option was to let the teams do it on their own! ... There's an upside for me, too ... No matter where any team ends up, it's not my fault!! ... Good luck! |
