| July 6, 2020 SSUSA Staff 3310 posts | REMINDER ON MESSAGE BOARD POSTING POLICY SSUSA has deleted multiple Message Board posts by multiple posters today in response to multiple email complaints received from multiple separate members about objectionable political content in those messages ... Anyone else seeing a pattern here? ... We have asked on a couple of occasions that political content be avoided here because it is inconsistent with our not-for-profit guidelines under the Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(4) tax exemption and exposes us to potential risk of losing that status ... There are ample political blogs and forums available to feed that appetite ... We are a softball association only ... We are no longer asking, but now demanding an immediate end to any posting content that includes commentary about the political activities or implications thereto by governmental entities or elected officials as it relates to the management of the COVID-19 pandemic ... We "cleaned house" on a lot of specific messages mentioned by the membership's correspondence today and we will try to catch and delete them if they re-surface ... Repeat offenders of this reiterated policy are subject to having their posting privileges here suspended ... Thank you in advance for your cooperation ... |
