Discussion: RIP Glenn Thompson

We lost a good Man, Coach, & Father today. For those of you that did or did not know Glenn Thompson, he was a great ambassador to the game of softball and he loved it more than life. I met him about 14yrs ago when he joined the 40's Braves team as a Coach/Sponsor. He took us all under his wing and made sure we all enjoyed what we all loved...SOFTBALL. To use the words of Andrew Lineberger, Glenn would share play by play of past moments and talk you up to others because he was so proud. He always had a postive attitude whether we won or lost and spent his words building you up and never knocking you down. Over the last couple of years he was a part of Stadium coaching many of the same players from the Braves.

Coach, I know you are looking down on all of us and it is a sad day that we lost a Coach/DAD and an amazing person, when we hit the field in the future, we will celebrate your life and talk about all the good times we had with you.

RIP Glenn Thompson

God doesn't make them any better than Glenn, he will be missed, loved that guy
My thoughts and prayers out to the Thompson Family. Great guy who will be missed.
Glenn was an outstanding person. He was always positive in any situation. He gave advice without anything in return. He loved the game, the players whether you were on his team or against his team. I will always remember his smile while you were talking to him about softball. Always had good to say about everything. Glenn I will miss the phone conversations we had.

Glenn Thank You for enriching my Life!!!
RIP My Friend You Will Never Be Forgotten!!!!

I was then and am now saddened to learn of the passing of Glenn Thompson yesterday morning. Glenn was a total class act and a great Ambassador for Softball. The Senior Softball community is a tight knit group and Glenn planted himself right in the middle of it. Glenn always had time to talk and reminisce about Tournament Championships and league games alike.I'm not sure if I've ever met anyone that knew more softball players then Glenn, and had a story or scouting report on each one. Whether playing against his teams in our Rancho Cucamonga Senior league, or facing them in a Tournament is was always difficult task. Glenn's teams were always confident, cocky and often beat you you before the first pitch was ever thrown. They played with swagger and grit.
Glenn was an honorable, generous man, and had so much integrity.

I'm sure Glenn has already organized the best players in Heaven and is coaching them to victory.

Until we meet again my friend and
RIP former Alta Loma Brave
