A Cry For Help!!!
I have gained 20 pounds since January. I have watched all of the Lifetime movies I can take. I cleaned all of my clothes off our exercise equipment and my workout lasted about 10 minutes. There is a permanent indention in my recliner where I sat. I go out and cut my grass every day just to have something to do. I have nightmares every night about giant pretzels and chocolate cakes attacking me.

Southpaw, sorry to hear about your challenges. I have lost three pounds since the stay-at-home order a couple of weeks ago! Why? It might have something to do with only eating what my wife feeds me and not cookies, candy, hot dogs, chips, etc. that I had at the ball parks and in my around-town travels. Or maybe it had something to do with not going out to an all-you-can-eat pizza place after day play on Thursdays!

I sure would like to work out a little by running on grass. My knees don't like running on concrete or asphalt. I went to the local school yard to run on the ball field but after two runs they chained it closed. I went to the YMCA to use some of their equipment. They closed it the next day. I went to a county park to hike in the hills. A bunch of people showed up for a picnic and they closed all 29 parks in the County! Finally, today, I went to the old ball park where we play and it was almost deserted! A few kids kicking a soccer ball around; a father pitching batting practice to his daughter; another dad hitting grounders and flies to his son. So I emptied my pockets and began running on the side lines. Felt realllllly good! Can't wait to actually play tourneys again.

Of course, everything I stated above (except the 20 pounds) is a bit of overkill, Omar. But you get where I am coming from. Oh, for the good old days. For the past 10 years or so I have gained around 10 pounds over the winter. I always counted on Spring and softball to help me lose it.
My prayer is that everyone stays safe and hopefully one day soon we will find ourselves back on the field. Meanwhile, I think I'll go and catch another nap.

The only impetus one needs to get off the sofa and tackle that honey-do list is that stupid Emu-Limu commercial with the 74 Dodge Duster that is running ad nauseum 24/7 on all the channels!!!

OZ40, you are right there! Years ago, my M-I-L would get physically ill when the "Bad breath in Dogs" commercial aired. Emu is not that bad but close.

Dec 29 2019 I was 275. Am now 230 and heading to 215. 45lbs so far... have never lost this much before. Daily Walking and High protein/low carb at 1400 cal per day works for me.
I am up to 5 mi hiking 2-3 times per week (outside) and 4-7000 steps per day most days. Plenty of naps!
I am 5'8" , 68 yrs.... and live in the NW US. Quit playing for several years after moving from AZ with year round softball

It was sooo.. easy to put it on. I just got sick of it. I signed up for an online program which has been very helpful... keeping me ontrack.

Has not been easy, had a pizza night 2 days ago, did a 5 miler yesterday and back on track. I probably splurge every 2-3 weeks to stay sane...works for me so far.

Be well.
