Discussion: WALMART

Our local Walmart in Huntley Illinois has a special deal. Every Tuesday, thru April 28th the store will be open to 60+ seniors only from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM.

Point: We might get stuff we can't get at other times.

CK with your local Walmart.
I don't know whether or not it is local or national, but our local Walmarts are price gouging. $6 for a gallon of milk that usually goes for $1.99.
Gallon of milk costs $7.50 here. But to put things in perspective, a 2 bedroom apartment costs upward of $3,500 a month SF peninsula.
City of Fresno just fined a store here $10k for overcharging! He was charging $16 for a 24 pack of water. They are going around to stores seeing if the are charging more than 10% above the regular price. Asking people to report overpricing.
Guess we are lucky. My Walmart is pretty much holding pre-virus prices.

Maybe the one advantage we have is that right across the street my Del Web has about 10,000 residents. U do not want to piss off this community.
Walmart in my Maryland store $1.35 a gallon
A 7-Eleven in the 408 was charging $4.00 a roll of TP. Haven't seen any price gouging other than that and that was hearsay. Gas is cheap for us on the west coast right now at $2.50 (Costco).
My intent is to stop patronizing all the stores and gas stations that are taking advantage of this situation by raising prices. while I believe in capitalism, I do not believe in price gouging! I think everyone should stop going to these establishments and go to those places that are maintaining normal prices.
Local Wal-Mart stores are not able to raise the price of an item above the corporate price. You probably saw a label of an item next to the milk.
On the other side..gas station in Cleveland is selling gas .89 a gallon.,,yes that is eighty-nine cents,

Ho, that is good news! Do you think that would qualify as an "essential" trip? I do live in California.
Cuervo13 reminds me, whats the deal with the toilet paper anyways. I dont get it
There has been a gasoline price war in the cleve-Akron area the past two weeks..price ranges mainly between $1.49 to $1.89.

When I filled up ten days ago, the cheapest gas station in town had regular for $3.29 a gallon! Ah, California—you gotta love it!
AJC, my guess is people want to be ready in case you know what hits the fan.
The great toilet paper crisis must be over. My Walmart has a bunch all the time now.
It was a matter of supply and demand...people have found out corn cobs are cheaper.

Last time i drove to the 408 was two weeks ago, stopped by the Costco mid way of my commute at 6:30a.m. to gas up. There was 10 - 20 people lined up at that time in the morning and it wasn't to get their Costco Muffins that are off the hook or the $1.50 hot dog.

Still hasn't subsided in my neck of the woods of Cali at least at the Costcos. Our Safeway now limits the amount of customers in the store, you can get anything you want now with the exception of TP, you have to be there too at 6:00a.m and wait in line, (Our Store let's Seniors in 7:00a.m. - 8:00p.m) first, I'm a decade too young still

We are down to 18 rolls at the house from 2 months ago when I bought a bag at Costco, so a trip is inevitable and I'll be in line 2 - 3 hours to get that maximum 1 bag of TP and 1 bag of paper towels.
Don't forget the disinfecting wipes.
A local restaurant on the coast is offering 2 rolls of T.P. with a minimum order of $30.
