Brackets No Clue
So bracketing in the 50 Major in Vegas was extremely wacky. Why play for top seeds if you don’t get a better game time going into bracket play. Sure the #1 seed had the latest game but Seeds 2 and 3 had to play at 8a where Seeds 4 and 5 got the 9:30a game. Then when you won your last loser game on Friday the winner came back at 8a where the Loser got the 11a game. Something just doesn’t seem right in the way teams are rewarded. So basically we should have played to lose to get the later game on Saturday morning instead of being penalized by winning. No integrity in the bracketing area. Anyone else have this same type of issue?

You MAY (very likely) be reading too much into this one ... Take a look at the progression/migration into the Elimination Brackets for first round losers and the second round game time waits for the first round winners and it SHOULD make more sense for you ... By the way, seeding theory rewards higher seeds with first round opponents that are theoretically (based on seeding results only) not as strong, not on game time assignments ... Feel free to print the Master Planning Grid and work on it with some different color sharpies and let me know how you would have done it .. I'm always open to meritorious suggestions ... Thanks!
