Roster Question
Player A is on the roster for team Bananas (60 Major) and plays in the ISA World Series. Is Player A eligible to play on team Coconuts (60 Major) in the SSUSA Northern Championships and the SSUSA Las Vegas World Championships. Would this be a conflict? 2 different organizations. Would Player A need to be released from team Bananas to play for team Coconuts?

biggflyy1953 ... ISA and SSUSA are separate, but affiliated, entities and teams playing in the ISA World Series (and certain other ISA events) may designate those rosters as "qualifying rosters" for the SSUSA Eastern/Western National's and World Masters Championships ... But a player may certainly play for Bananas in ISA and Coconuts in SSUSA WITHOUT having to be released by either team to participate with the other in, say, the Northern Championships ... The only tricky part is if BOTH teams decide to compete in the same event, like the Northern's, Eastern (for you) National's and/or World Masters events ... If that happens, the player may only appear on ONE roster in the SAME AGE group for an event ... That choice is vested solely with the player ... The choice must be made before the event starts, and he may not, for example, appear on both rosters in the hope of changing jerseys and playing for Bananas after Coconuts gets eliminated ...

Although your hypothetical mentioned that both teams were 60-Major, if they are rated differently, he still must declare for only one team in a specific age group ... We would not permit him to play for, say a qualified ISA 60-AAA team and a qualified SSUSA 60-Major team ... Hope this helps, but if I misunderstood your question, or didn't answer it clearly, please call the Sacramento Home Office at (916) 326.5303 during normal business hours Pacific Time and they can walk you through any other questions ... Good luck! ...
