Giving a Shout Out
Too many times I get on this board and see nothing but complaints. Let me try something new this Monday morning. I'd like to give a shout out to Tim McElroy and the grounds crew in Sterling, VA. After having torrential rains most of Friday and Friday night, they had the fields in spectacular condition and ready for play on Saturday. Both the Over 40 division and the newly formed Public Service Division had 8 teams and a great time was had by all. Thanks for all you do and look forward to playing in more events.

Thanks Monty33.

Thanks for the kind words. This weekend was fun- the First Responder division was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to trying that a few more times this year.

The parks department deserves a standing ovation for their efforts. We were inundated with heavy rains and flash flooding on Friday night and the fields were more than playable on Saturday. New infields were put in during the off season and they held up great. Those infields, coupled with live streaming cameras at each backstop should pay dividends when the Eastern Nationals come to town later this summer.
