Softballs
A few questions about softballs:
Does the softball we used have to have the senior league endorsement?
Where do you purchase the softballs?
Any recommendations on which brand to use?
Could we use ASA or USSSA approves softballs in tournament play?

Thanks,
Elwin

If you are playing in an SSUSA sanctioned qualifier you must hit their STOTE ball (44/375), complete with the SSUSA stamp. You'll receive 6 balls at check-in at most tournaments and have the opportunity to buy additional balls on-site.

Call the national office during normal hours if you'd like to purchase larger quantities of balls for a league or bp.

Hope this helps-

What softball are we using in Columbus Indiana for ISA World Series?

I am "assuming" its going to be Trump Stote since its SSUSA Rules??

FYI I'm only asking because I "think" ISA uses Trump "Rocks"

17Black ... I "think" that was at least partially true last year with The Rock (some Rock and some 'other' in use, depending on the park?) ... Jerry Jackson doesn't "do" this Message Board, but maybe Nancy Allen can comment ... She served as a Director last year ... If they didn't use the official SSUSA/ISA ball, what we don't know is if that decision was a "policy" or "inventory availability" driven decision ... Good luck, no matter what you're hitting! ...

17Black, Dave is right that two years ago that there were not enough Stotes, and Dunn passed out Rocks while Lincoln passed out Stotes. Yes, the look on my face was probably priceless when I saw a Rock. Last year the balls were the ISA balls, Worth Super Gold Dot Extreme which were 44/400s. Let's just say the players were really happy. I did send Jerry a message, and he gave me a priceless Jerry answer. My guess would be the ISA ball. If I find out before the tournament, I will post.

17Black, things change, and we keep getting older. I wish you the best of luck in the tournament.
