65 Major Plus Players from Texas Looking for a Team
Three 65 Major Plus players looking to play on a 65 Major Plus team West of the Mississippi or a 65 Major team bordering Texas. All three of us have good power and are .700 to .800 hitters. We have played 50, 55 and 60 Major Plus with Hendricks Sports winning many world championships in SSUSA and SPA in each age division. Not enough of our former teammates are still playing or have reached 65 to form a team from Texas. Let us know if your team is interested.

Joe Read: SS, 2B
Thomas Brown (aka TB): RF, Catcher
Murray Williams: 3B, 1B, 2B

thanks,
Murray 512-468-7624

Anybody ready to take their M+ team to the next level or move their M to M+. These guys are the real deal and would be great teammates.

Three VERY good players. They would enhance any lineup and would not mess up any teams chemistry.

Omar, I can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not. I am not exaggerating about Joe Read who plays SS. Thanks again mad dog. Hope you find a team too.

MurrayW ... Omar can be a bit sarcastic on rare occasions (I know this from personal targeted experience!), but I'm betting not so this time ... You're both members of the "Good Guys" and best of luck in locating a mutually beneficial playing home this Season! ..

Wow. I'm surprised this post is still up. Someone should have grabbed these 3 as soon as this was posted. Joe Read and company are good old boys that can play the game. They will make any team an immediate top tier team and you'd be hard pressed to find better guys. Some team is going to be very happy when they get these guys.

MurrayW, no, I was not being sarcastic. A good shortstop is a benefit at any age, a bonus once you round 60, and a treasure and a game changer after 70! My teams have tried for years (sometimes successfully) to find a good shortstop, but the agility, quickness, and arm strength that is required starts to fade away in the late 60s. I trust mad dog's opinion as well as others on this site and I am dumbfounded that they haven't found a team except for the well-known challenge that they want to play as a trio on a team, and many teams are reluctant to replace two already present good players for the sake of filling one hole in the lineup. If they are on a team that is at the World's or Rock n Reno this year, I'll look for them just for the joy of appreciating their play.

P.S. Dave, when was I ever sarcastic with you? Send me a private email to remind me. Complaining a couple of times (the shirt fiasco at Western's; the misranking at Woodland) but I am seldom sarcastic with anyone on this forum (with the "retirement" of Einstein) so I am genuinely puzzled.

Murray, good luck, I believe that Enviro-Vac and Timberworks are the only M+ that could pick you up. The Animals will take all three, (If Dave wasn't looking and a some name changes, maybe not Joe, he loses his glove too much!! Thomas beat us with an off field HR in Reno last year, so we could use you guys, secretly of course.

Omar, thanks for clearing that up. Sorry I misinterpreted your comments. Yes, I realize that it is difficult to find a team that can take all three of us, but we really want to stay together. None of us are desperate. I'm playing on a 55 and a 60 team already, Joe hits 5 or 6 times a week and enjoys that as much as playing tournaments and TB is keeping busy in North TX.

Don5, we can all wear our Groucho Marx noses, mustache and glasses as disguises. Do you think we can sneak past Dave like that?

Thanks, everyone who recommended us or had kind words to say about us. I am happy to say that we will be joining EnviroVac for the 2019 season. Looking forward to being a rookie again in the 65 division while continuing to be the old guy on my 60 and 55 teams!
