A “Veteran” – whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve – is someone who, at one point in life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The Unites States of America”, for an amount of “up to and including his or her life.”
There are not words big enough.
There is not a hug strong enough.
This is not a smile big enough.
All I can offer is thank you.
You are my hero.
You are in my thoughts.
You are in my prayers.
For all of you’ve done, thank you!
With my deepest and humble respect,
Steve
Steve, great definition of a Veteran! Tomorrow is Veterans Day - which for me is a day to reflect back on all of those that served and paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. Especially for those listed as MIA and the families of those unaccounted for!
Like the freedoms we enjoy here in the USA? Thank a Veteran!
I enjoy my freedoms so - my thanks to all that have served - are serving or are thinking about serving!
Prayers to those deployed in any hostile environment!

I believe everyday should be Veterans Day!
I wanted to get my thanks out early to all the veterans of our military services that have put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms that we enjoy. They have dedicated their lives to their country and deserve to be recognized for their commitment.
Thanks Steve -USMC 72-78 Semper Fi!
Well Said Steve. Navy 1982-2003
Thanks Steve - USAF 65-70 - CA ANG 74-04
Thanks Steve. Also thanks to my fellow veterans! Always remember! Mel USAF 1964-1968
Steve thank you for that great description, I served in the USAF in the late 70's, had to cut my active duty time short, but finished my commitment in the reserves.
When at events that ask for all military past and present to stand and be recognized, I don't stand due to my less than full term active duty, by the way I have a full honorable discharge from both active and reserve duty.
After reading your definition I will from today forward stand and be recognized.
Thank You for your kind words sir.

I know I'm a little late, but thanks Steve. Well said! USAF 1983-2005
Grayhitter59: You most definitely need to stand and be fully recognized whenever they ask all past and present military to stand. You served your country honorably. Thank you for your service!
