Oct. 7, 2018 Omega 1 17 posts | PLAYER RATINGS How many teams get moved up based on how they finish in Vegas. I've heard that the top 4 teams are automatically get moved up. Is that true? |

There is no set formula on how many teams may receive a rating upgrade based on the Las Vegas final standings ... For the CHAMPIONS in each division below Major+, they are automatically moved up under the following rules based on the size of the division: __________ • Here are the guidelines for teams winning the LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships or the SPA World Championships: A. Teams winning in a division of 6 or more teams may NOT appeal their rating increase in the following Season. B. Teams winning in a division of 3-5 teams may appeal their rating increase in the following Season after playing in three tournaments. C. Teams winning in a division of 2 teams will not be moved up. D. SSUSA reserves the right NOT to move a team up if there is a preponderance of information showing the team should remain in the original skill level. __________ Any other year-end team moves are subjective, and the criteria includes, but is not limited to, the size of the division ... For example, finishing this weekend in the top "X number of teams" in the 69-team 50-AAA or 52-team 50-Major is probably more likely of a move up than being in the top "X number of teams" in the 6-team 50-AA ... There is no set "magic number" or "percentage" ... As with all rating moves other than the automatic move for the champions, it's the totality of their season, including the World Masters Championships ... |
