Looking for a 40 and over team to play on out of south bend
Just moved here from Portland Oregon where I was playing on a 40 and over senior team. Now I live in South Bend Indiana and I’m looking to play on a 40s team here. I am 47 and play OF, still pretty fast and hit singles and doubles. Not a real power hitter but we all know senior bats have good pop and I have hit a few HRS. Let me know if your interested please.

Mingo Subia, unfortunately we do not have a 40 team from Indiana. There is a team from Michigan that just played in the Worlds, Firehouse Pub/Game Apparel/Absolut, but they are Major Plus. They are from Frafer.

Not sure about Sr leagues, but South Bend has a great complex on Mayflower Rd. One of my favorite places to play, lots of league games I'm sure. Probably late in the season now, but check it out in the Spring.

MrB611, that is a really nice complex. We played a few tournaments there. I remember that the diamonds were called by color not number.

MingoSubia, I did submit changes to leagues for SSUSA which I hope will post after the Worlds. There are senior leagues in Fort Wayne and Mishawaka, but neither had any younger leagues. I hope to work the Michigan leagues next. If there is anything under 50, I will be sure and post. We do allow a 47 year old sometimes on our 50 leagues down here in Indy to fill a team, but they are not allowed to use a senior bat. You turn 50 January 1 of the year that you actually turn 50 for senior softball; so I am hoping that you still turn 48 this year. If I find anything that will help, I will be sure and post it as I try to stay on top of what is happening in Indiana.

I turn 48 next February and I live very close to Mishawaka where do they play if you can tell me. I play on a couple of teams now at Byers complex and yes it is very nice but I really enjoy senior ball because it has less hot heads if you know what i mean.

MingoSubia, I had to look at what I submitted for changes to the Leagues for Indiana because I had been doing research on Kentucky since then. They play at Battell. It looks like it is a 53+ league. You can talk with Kirby at 574-850-5206. Maybe he is aware of something else going on, but I think that he might have told me. He was the one that told me about the Fort Wayne league which none of us here knew about. I will let you know if I find anything in Michigan. Feel free to contact me at any time. You will be eligible to play tournaments at 49 in what I call the play ahead tournaments usually in November and in warmer climates as they use the next year's roster. If you look under the Tournaments tab, you can see those listed.

i live in South Bend and there are no 40+ teams or leagues. I played a week and a half ago in Vegas in the 40 Major plus division with a team out of FL. There are plenty of guys who would love to play 40+ in this state, I don't think anyone has tried putting a team together.

If you need a hitting partner let me know.

Joe8 we should do that! I need someone to hit with because my wife won’t pitch me anymore lol.

If I knew more guys here I would totally try and put together a team but since I just moved here my player Pool has only me in it currently lol.

i'm not sure how the class system works in the 40+ and what division we can play. My team just won the Eastern Major Plus championship, the Over All Championship by beating the Western Champs and the the 40 Major Plus World in vegas 2 weeks ago. We could probably do a good team from this state.

I live on the south side of south bend and always looking for a BP partner.
