Could somebody tell me about this tournament being held Nov 2-4 in Daytona Beach Area.?? Is this a different sanction or different from Senior Softball?
Also I will be in Daytona at Christmas for 2 weeks, looking to watch or play some games.
Thanks
Michelle
Softballnut16 ... ISSA is a senior softball association, but they are separate and distinct from Senior Softball USA (that's possibly the biggest understatement since Noah said "..Gee, it looks like it might rain..") ... They also have their own website which may provide additional event information for you ... Good luck!
Dave....Thanks for the info
Depending on your actual dates, Florida has a local association called Florida Half Century. It is all men in my experience. We used to take our team down for "spring training" and went to their events for several years.
ISSA does have a tournament in Daytona in November, however, they had an allotment of 65 teams and once that reached it's limit they shut down entries. That actually left the women's 50 division with only 3 teams for that tourney. They seem to cater to the men's teams every time. So, we pulled our team out and decided to go play in Panama City Beach with SPA the following weekend.
The Florida Half Century DOES have women's tournaments!!! Please pass the word around!!! We need more women to know about this. Please check out their website for more information.

I wish that SSUSA would hold more tournaments in the Southeast region. Florida, Georgia, etc. Our team would absolutely be thrilled if there was another, possibly better, organization holding tournaments for us women that actually like having the women's teams in the tournaments. Just sayin'.
Patti64, thank you. That is good to know. I wish that there were more opportunities for women.
