Five solid 60 Major teams in our division. Great venue even with the lightning delay on Sunday. As always, the administration was great. Fields were great. Officiating was good. Final standings:

Top Gun Elite, 1st
Pope Transport, 2nd
Arizona Old School, 3rd

See you all in Vegas

Dave ... Still waiting for scores to be posted … Just a thought, don't you think that SSUSA could increase traffic on this site just by posting tournament scores on a timely basis? … Perhaps your advertisers would appreciate it, as well as your members.

Here's another thought ... Still awaiting all of the paperwork to come in from the Directors ... In the meantime, 620± teams are clamoring for game schedules for the World Masters ... That's probably a higher priority right now than chasing packages ... Patience is normally rewarded ...

Dave,

Easy there big fella. 620+ teams CLAMORING for games schedules already? That’s pretty good. I’m sure the usual suspects are wanting game schedules now, but c’mon man. A simple, “we’re waiting on paperwork would have sufficed.”

Sorry Dave, couldn’t resist. See you in Vegas.

When you have a monopoly, you do not have to keep your customers happy. SSUSA has a monopoly out west. You can throw out any excuse and the players have to take it. Posting scores on a timely matter is all the players want. This has been a beef for years. But as for SSUSA, they seem not to care.

Actually, you missed one .. I took down your last TWO posts ... You're not registered with SSUSA (since the 2016 Season), so you're not a player with us anymore ... That certainly infers that your only obvious motivation is to anonymously (to the rest of those here, we know exactly who you are) snipe at us/me because you think you can ... That's not a good enough reason to leave your insulting and antagonistic posts on OUR Message Board ... **POOF** they went away ... Remember, you're a guest here, where "our house = our rules" ... Your (current) privilege to post is not a right to post antagonistically or irresponsibly ... Keep that in mind and you may be able to stay "here" for a while ...

I agree with all the comments about how great this tournament setup was with one exception - the outfield grass. Am I the only one who felt it was way too thick and slow? I felt like I was running in cement the whole time. It wore my legs out. Plus, every single into the outfield would come to a stop in the grass, causing the outfielders to have to run in to get to routine base hits. I was told the grass was actually longer in the past so maybe it was even worse in the past. Anyway, I was curious if anyone else felt the same way.

NYTX, sorry, I did mess that up on reading. I am definitely not a morning person. Someone was actually right for a change.

BJ, it's been so quiet that you could hear a rulebook drop.

You really don't realize what a disservice you and BJ do the players and especially the other umpires.

Players read this and think, they think you and BJ are know what you're talking about. The two of you muddy up the waters with your interps and rulings. Actually what that does, is make it harder on the other officials, UIC and tournament directors that might have to deal with your misinterpretations.

I will bet you dollars to donuts, you make those calls on a field and somebody that actually can read will call you out on it. I'm not the kind of person who will post without knowing what they're talking about.

I'm sure you're a very nice person and I would like to meet you someday. Bring you're rulebook with you though.

Have a superb Labor Day weekend. I'm going to take my 69 Mach I Mustang that for the most part I have made a very nice and dependable ride. Love working on those old cars! Going to get my picture made with the car and a P 51 Mustang from the WWII era.
