A bit of a guess here, but very likely true that Dick Vital gave John Stote the nickname "Rock Man" Stote ... They're pretty good friends, and when I went to John's office at Anaconda in NY a few years back, it was LOADED with stuff signed for "John The Rock" by Dick Vitale and tons of pictures of them together ... Very impressive memorabilia collection, to say the least ... |

| Aug. 21, 2018 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | yes dave john is a great guy....met him when kevin (tattoo ball) used to work for him...the company is about 50 miles from where my family lives in Massachusetts.....went and visited them back in 08....it was like stepping into a time capsule with some of the pics he had....he also had a up and coming WNBA star delle donne....just as she came out of HS...... |
